In 2007 I developed the concept for Riot & Return, a childrenswear library offering handmade pieces by subscription.

For various reasons the project never made it far from the back of an envelope, but in 2015, I’ve decided to reinvigorate the idea, because I’m expecting my first child.

The underpinning principles are broadly similar, but the rules of the game have changed. Rather than creating a new library of items, Riot & Return is now about my husband Simon and I exploring the ‘fashion commons’ of the big wide world to borrow things (clothes and other accoutrements) for our baby.

This website is a record of our exploration.
